Our Maintenance position is a full-time, hands-on professionals dedicated to repairing and maintaining campus buildings and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is a versatile professional with experience in a range of repair and construction trades including painting, drywall repair, and plumbing and excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills are required. Candidates must be able to work independently and have a team player approach.



Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent) required
• at least 2 years of experience in building maintenance required
• Ability to maintain professional image and work environment
• Must possess strong communication, planning, organization, and judgment skills essential for effective maintenance work
• Must be able to use hand tools
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for prolonged periods throughout the workday
• Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
• Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday

Responsibilities

• Problem-Solving: Determine the best tools, methods, and materials for each task to complete jobs efficiently and effectively
• Equipment Upkeep: Ensure all tools are functioning properly, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity
• Proactive Communication: Alert administration when major repairs are needed to maintain a safe and well-functioning environment and coordinate jobs with vendors
• And More: Take on a variety of tasks to support the team and keep operations running smoothly
• Work is performed both indoors in a climate-controlled environment and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Regular full time school hours with occasional overtime required
